Hello, welcome to my shop!
When packing and sending my pots I try to reuse / recycle as much of my packaging material as possible. Any plastic used has been recycled from parcels sent to me.
Handmade on the potters wheel, these vases are freely thrown, usually after a day of repeat production throwing.
Each one is unique, to be enjoyed singly or as part of a group.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
These little vases are all different!
I usually throw them at the end of a session after I have been making large batches of pots of the same size. I love the freedom of letting the clay dictate the shape of the vase, especially after the concentration of having to measure quantities of pots to ensure they are all the same size.
After they have been thrown and trimmed I paint brushstrokes of slip downwards from the rim. The vases are then left to dry completely before their first firing in the kiln. Some of the vases have had their rims manipulated to make them oval shaped. My makers mark is stamped into the base of the vase.
Once out of the kiln they are dipped in a white glaze and fired for a second time to 1270 degrees c. The reaction of the oxides in the slip with the white glaze turns the slipped areas blue.
They are perfect for small posies from the garden or even dried grasses. You could keep one in the kitchen, with a bunch of herbs for cooking, or in a group on your kitchen table.
The vases are glazed inside and out so are waterproof.
They can be cleaned in the dishwasher but washing by hand is kinder to your hand made pots!
Price is for one vase
