I’ve been working with glass for over 20 years. Ever since I first picked up my chosen glass and glass cutter, I’ve been hooked. I am fascinated by the properties of glass, the array or colours and the processes that that can be used to create different effects. There is always something new to learn and new tools and materials to invest in. It really is addictive!
What I especially love about working with glass are the colours. From crystal clear to shimmery dichroic to opaque pure blocks of colour that will never fade or dull.

Full description
Fused glass dish, inspired by my love of the retro design found on the ceramics, fabrics and wallpaper of the 1960s and 1970s. This would made a groovy gift for lovers of all things retro. It makes a lovely ornament on its own, or could be used for trinkets or even hold a tealight candle.
To make this dish, firstly I hand cut 2 circles of transparent art glass. Next I use opaque lime green, orange and yellow art glass and hand cut and shape each glass petal and circle. Then I carefully arrange the pieces onto the background circles and fire it overnight in my kiln. I then fire the piece a second time to slowly slump it into a ceramic mould. Transparent glass with lime green petals and yellow and orange centre. All glass is hand cut and assembled, therefore no 2 are exactly the same. One Supplied.

Dish looks lovely as a decorative piece, for trinkets or snacks or with a candle.
