Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am a UK based artist living in the West Midlands where I produce the original linocut prints and paintings. My work is inspired by all the lovely places I have travelled to and collected photo's and memories of over the years. Nature and landscape are 2 of my biggest inspirations.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.

The stones seemed to be dancing in their circle in my print, the long grasses and the trees behind them appeared to be joining in!

Full description
This is an original hand pressed linocut print of the Neolithic stone circle which lies on the Warwickshire/Oxfordshire border known as the Rollright Stones. It is based on photographs I took some years ago during a summer visit.
This is the 5th of an edition of 30 prints which was hand pressed using the back of a spoon. I created the print from a single plate pressing once using two colours (black in the foreground, brown in the background).
Each print of this edition will be created using the same or variations of colours, all will be printed using Caligo Relief Ink. In addition to this 30 prints I have also created two multi-colour editions of 5 prints each. There will be 40 original prints in total, after which the plate will be destroyed.
This artwork is printed in Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash Relief Ink (linseed oil based) on Fabriano Accademia Paper (160gsm).
