I do spend a lot of time outdoors but probably more so this year. We joined the growing number of the nation in trying our hand at growing vegetables and as a result spent more time in the garden and more time noticing what was growing (or not growing). This fennel was doing quite well and as it is so wispy and delicate I thought I would give it a try pressing the delicate leaves into some silver clay. The result was very pleasing, wispy but lots of definition.
