Hi. I am Rachael and I live in the Holme Valley with my family and my little dog Pippi. I started making jewellery 14 years ago after going on a silver clay jewellery course, mainly making fingerprint and other personalised jewellery for family and friends. The arrival of my then puppy Pippi the springer spaniel/poodle cross in 2014 gave rise to the name Pippi Silver and here we are today.
I like to work mainly with silver clay using patterns and textures to create simple classic pieces, often using a patina or some enamel to bring out a design.
I also take advantage of the nature and seasons around me as inspiration for my designs. It feels good to wear something nature inspired on days when you can't be out there in it. As I step out with Pippi for company, new ideas take form on our lovely long walks in the beautiful landscapes of the Holme Valley.
