I was inspired by the MacKenzie-Childs homeware patterns, with their bright designs and chequerboard motifs to create this eye-catching hat.

Full description

These bright and colourful mittens have been designed in 3 sizes, small, medium and large adult, and are knit in the round, so there are no seams. The mittens are knit in DK weight premium acrylic yarn and have a roll up hem, 2 colour rib, garter ridges and fair isle panels. There are decorative French knots, sewn on as you go.

Materials required to knit this pattern are a set of 5" long, 3.75mm dpn's, and 7 colours of approximately 20g each of DK yarn.

My pattern is written so it is very easy to understand. It is ideal for an intermediate knitter or a beginner who has knitted a few items, and knows how to cast on, knit, knit in the round, decrease and follow a simple colour chart.

There are no postage costs - the pattern will be emailed as a pdf file within 3 days of payment being received, to the email address registered with Folksy unless you let me know otherwise. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open this pdf file. (It is free to download from www.adobe.com)

I aim to write my patterns correctly, however, should you spot an error please let me know!

Please note this is just a knitting pattern and not the finished item.

This pattern is sold for personal use only and may not be sold or distributed without author’s permission.
