Full description
A beautiful little lighthouse to bring the seaside indoors. Modelled on the lighthouse in New Brighton, a wave of blue water and glass globs symbolises the surf as the waves crash over it and decorative solder represents the movement of the sea and the seaweed & barnacles growing on the rocks.
Made from red, amber, dark streaky green, deep blue & white mottled glass and 3 glass globs in pale blue, pale green and sparkly white.
Each piece of glass has been cut to shape and the edges smoothed on a grinder before being copper foiled and soldered together. Finished with decorative solder to emphasise the movement of the wind and the sea and a silvery black patina applied for an antique finish polished to seal and bring out the highlights.
It has a small copper ring soldered in place and clear plastic twine to hang.
Size is approx. 6" x 4"
Packaged in tissue paper and bubble wrap in a handmade paper giftbag and well protected for posting.
