These pretty earrings are lovely and light to wear.

They were made using copper foil which was folded and hammered to add the creases and textures, then cut and filed to shape, lightly oxidised and then sealed using a silicon wax polish. The ear wires are copper with jasper beads to enhance the colour of the copper. They measure approx. 5 cm in length and just under 2 cm across.

Packaged on a gift card in an air tight plastic pocket with a complimentary polishing cloth in a pretty handmade paper gift bag.

I love the technique of fold forming metal because you never really know what the completed piece will look like until you have finished. The process involves annealing the copper foil to soften it, folding and hammering then gently opening and straightening, and repeating until you have the desired effect.

Once you're happy with the fold forming then you can divide the piece up to make earrings and necklaces...each one unique!
