Full description
A gorgeous moth, fennel & stars material Cyanotype on a clear lampshade backing, finished with wooden hoops. A magical lantern supplied with your choice of either a flameless flickering tea light or battery powered fairy lights (batteries not included - 2 x AA needed.)
I use the old photographic process of Cyanotype to create my images. A light sensitive solution is applied to 100% pure cotton a negative laid on then exposed to sunlight, the solution is then rinsed off and the material dried, fixing the image in lovely blue tones. To make these lanterns the material is applied to clear lampshade backing, formed into a cylinder and wooden hoops fixed to top and bottom.
Supplied in a lovely quality brown kraft gift box with a white inside, finished with blue bakers twine and 'The Way to Blue' gift tag.
10cm diameter, 19cm height.
Please note each candle cover is unique and hand-made to order. Due to the nature of the cyanotype process the blues may vary slightly.
