Full description
Sterling silver needle ring.
Handmade in my studio in York and beautifully hallmarked in deep lazer at The Sheffield Assay Office.
The needle:
I very mindfully over time hand forged the perfect needle in sterling silver and had my finished design cast into sterling silver.
The ring:
Once filed and neatened, I chop the needle down until the width measures 1.5cm in diameter after which I solder some 1.5cm silver wire to the end in order to lengthen the needle for the wrap around ring design. I then file and emery up the needle in stages before getting to work creating the perfect wrap using a ring mandrel. Finally I give it all a polish and using my pendant drill satinise the body of the needle. I totally love this finish.
The gorgeous inclusion of hallmarking together with the satin finish and wrap design make for a very different and eye catching statement ring. Yet comfy and wearable enough for the everyday too.
Sizing:
I have sized the ring to an average M, but because of its nature can be tweaked down to a smaller K/L or up to a larger size N/O. You can tweak, or ask me to tweak, or better still ask for s specific size when in the check-out.
So so happy with the result. It is so perfect for a seamstress, quilter, embroiderer enthusiast.
Packaged in one of my lovely branded ring boxes, and posted small parcel 1st class post.
