LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY GREETINGS TO INCLUDE.
I love making mugs because I am told by returning customers that they get used regularly. Because each mug is different people can, and often do, develop a sense of personal ownership. I want to engage with people by providing them with something thoughtfully handmade that usefully fits into their daily routine. There are dashes of brush-applied green-brown iron oxide to add an abstract visual interest. This mug pays homage to my interests in the graceful Chinese porcelains of the Song Dynasty and emanates calmness.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
An elegant wheel-thrown porcelain mug with an ice-blue celadon glaze that is transparent where thin and pale blue where it has pooled at the base and inside around the stamped raised hand. The bottom is unglazed white porcelain, flat so that it does not retain dishwasher water. The mug was made with a UK porcelain and, after biscuit firing and glazing the piece was fired to 1300C to make it impermeable and very durable.
- The mug is dishwasher and microwave safe and measures approximately 9cm tall and 9cm wide.
- The bottoms is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9862
