I've made quite a few variations of serpent jewellery and wanted to use the design together with the glass to create a different look.
This beautiful glass was originally part of an old lead light window that was broken beyond repair and I love the fact that it has had a previous life and now been reincarnated into something new.

Full description
These beautiful unique earrings definitely won't be found on the high street! They have a strange magical quality...the glass is semi opaque and at first glance is a deep dark green but when the light shines through it changes to a vivid luminescent glow.
The glass has been cut into rounded oblongs and the edges smoothed before being wrapped with wavy edged copper foil.
I used textured copper wire, flattened at the ends and shaped to represent the serpents which are soldered to the copper foil using lead free solder and decorative solder applied to add movement as the snake winds his way through the water.
An antique patina has been applied and then polished with with silicon wax to seal. They have sterling silver ear wires and measure approx. 6cm in length and 1.5cm across.
Packaged on a gift card in an air tight plastic pocket with a complimentary polishing cloth in a pretty handmade paper gift bag.
