Full description

Hanging planter is handmade pottery thrown on my potter's wheel. This bowl is made from stoneware which means it is very durable. The clay gives a biscuit speckled colour which shows through the glaze. The inside has a clear glaze so it will hold water, the outside has blue green glaze Gardoms Green glaze which has created a landscape effect.

The bowl is first thrown then left until it is leather hard, then turned and I add my makers mark. Once dry it is bisque fired then glazed and fired a second time at 1220 oC. All glazes are lead free.

The Planter is hung on a wooden ring with natural macramé cord which I have used macrame knots to make the hanger.

Height about 9 cm

Diameter about 14 cm

All my pottery is made by me in small batches. There may be variations in size, colour and shape making each piece delightfully unique.
