Various colours, and shapes, of polymer clay are put together to create a cane with a reoccurring pattern running through it. Not unlike a stick of rock. I thinly sliced the canes, placed them on a sheet of black clay and added some gold leaf flakes for a touch of glittery glamour, before cutting the shapes out, baking the clay, adding some varnish for protection and assembling the earrings.
Well worth the effort to create these care-free style earrings.

Backs coming off stud earrings can be a real pain, that's why I embed my earring backs into the polymer clay, to ensure this doesn't happen.

My packaging is simple. Recycled card pasted with vintage magazines, annuals, books, music sheets or my own hand painted designs.
