Full description
Fused glass hanging Christmas tree. Clear glass with turquoise bubbles captured inside. Dichroic glass baubles are fused on top of the design to add a pit of sparkle. The pot at the bottom is opaque glass fused with shimmery dichroic glass. Looks lovely on a Christmas tree or given as a gift.
To make these trees, I cut 2 pieces of transparent art glass into Christmas tree shapes and use specialist paint to carefully paint my tree design onto one of the pieces. I then cap it with another piece of glass and add an opaque pot with a piece of dichroic glass on top. I then fire it overnight in my kiln. The heat of the kiln turns the paint into tiny turquoise bubbles. When completely cooled, I carefully arrange the dichroic dots, which I have made previously and fire the whole piece again at a lower temperature, so the dots remain slighly 3D.
The glass is handcut and assembled, therefore no 2 are exactly the same. This looks lovely in a window, on the tree, or anywhere you fancy!
