My inspiration was everyday beauty. Something that would look lovely on your desk or table, even if you don't have a lot of room at home to be creative.
I sketched out the shape of this design freehand onto paper, cut it out and transferred that to a slab of clay. Once all the elements were cut out of clay, these were bisque fired and the resulting 'tokens' were used as templates to create different combinations for further palettes.
The Speckled Blue glaze I've used here adds a gentle warmth to this piece. I love seeing the speckles gather in places.
