Full description
This is a unique hand made stained glass bird to hand up and enjoy with light streaming through it and casting shadows. How lovely!
It is cut from sky blue transparent glass which I coat in a layer of black stain (all following traditional methods which is quite a long process) I draw on to the powder stain over a light box to create my image that I then fire permanently into the glass. I use a fine needle to create the delicate lines, A labour of love and excitement.
I drill a hole and thread with linen thread and finish with mother of pearl.
