The Fire Eater is a mesmerising act and it seems an impossible feat. This yarn aimed to capture the colours and warmth of the fire.

Full description
Fire Eater is a sparkly, warm yarn that has been hand spun on Arwen, my Kromski Fantasia spinning wheel. It is a tonal blend with four colours of wool in a dark, rusty red, through a brighter red into orange and finally into a golden yellow. A touch of gold really brings the shine and sparkle into this fire!
It is made from 95% Merino and 5% Gold Angelina. Merino is a wonderfully soft wool that is incredibly popular in the yarn world! Angelina is a synthetic fibre, available in many colours, that can bring out that extra shine. Every effort has been made to show the sparkles in the photos, but this is often really hard for cameras to pick up!
I blended the four colours of Merino into very mixed batts on my drum carder with touches of Angelina between each layer of fibre to create an even blend.
90g, approx. 13 WPI, DK 3 ply, 91m
