Originally I was inspired by the Green Man celebrations in Glastonbury and the floral crowns worn by the participants and then on holiday in Scotland I saw a hare sitting very still beside the road yet poised to move very fast. And so I combined the two images. The purple background gave the plants depth...the darkness behind...while the hare enjoys a moment in the flowers before moving on.

Full description
This painting of a hare hiding in a flowery bower is in acrylic paint on a 40.5cm x 30.5 deep edge (3.3cm) canvas. It is supplied with metal hanging rings ready for display. Its style is inspired by the dense richness of the hedgerow, the green man ceremony in Glastonbury and the intricate designs of William Morris.
