Item details

This is a commission for a pencil drawing of your much loved pet. It will be drawn on quality acid free paper - size 420x297mm (A3). I will require a good quality photo of your pet to be emailed to me. Please feel free to include several photos as I find it useful to be able to see different features and details. The work normally involves 30 hours plus to complete. It will come unframed and unmounted.
Depending on the composition that works best it may be landscape or portrait, please let me know if you have a preference. I'm happy to discuss any requests for the final picture size if you have a frame in mind already, but will need to inform me before I start work.
The example I am showing of my work is from a photo I took of my beautiful dog having a wonderful snooze on the woodland floor. It was a beautiful day and small shards of light managed to work its way through the leaf canopy of the surrounding trees onto my dogs face.
The work will take up to two weeks to complete and will be posted as soon as I can, via the Royal Mail. I do live in the countryside so I am restricted to how often I can get to the post office during the week.
The finished drawing will be well packaged with recyclable card with a compostable clear sleeve, in a cardboard backed envelope for ultimate protection.

My dog was a very grey and white puppy but his colours changed as he grew up. His Husky markings on his face disappeared as his whole body turned white all apart from a mark on his tail.
On a lovely holiday wild camping in Devon woods, I was pleased to see my boy content where he was, sound asleep. With that slight hint of a smile you see on your dogs face while he slumbered. The light was able to get through onto his body and slightly highlighted those typical husky markings on his face. We only ever get to see them after he has a digging episode or dip in a muddy puddle normally! Showing the way the different hairs are directed, formed and layered.
Without delay I managed to grab my phone and snapped a few shots. One seemed to have a very pleasing composition when I zoomed in a little.
In the past I took a photo of a tiny beetle at the very tip of a piece of grass looking out , surveying where it should head to next and couldn't resist adding the little creature to the scene.
