My Mum grew up in the St James square area in Edinburgh so the place has significance for me.
My brother and then I took photographs of the original St James and then the demolition of the St Jame shopping centre and offices.
A germ of an idea came to mind to imagine a room in one of the original tenements with a view out to the being demolished St James shopping centre.
Clearly that could never happen! But it can happen with paint and canvas board.
The grate in the fireplace has the ashes of the last fire, at Christmas, a birthday...
