I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world so it was about time that I made some images inspired by the views and buildings I cycle through daily. I like combining and using different printing techniques and enjoy the happy mistakes and blemishes that may occur. I print on a variety of papers and fabrics and for this image I chose a vintage piece of Golden Lily by William Morris. I love how the design on the fabric appears through the blue ink!
This could be framed either with the border of fabric on show or not.

Full description
Mixed media original print of Magdalen College and tower in Oxford.
Lino print in black with screen print in bright blue printed on a piece of vintage William Morris fabric. The delicate blues and pinks and trailing design of the fabric show through the inks giving added interest and depth.
Image size - 25cm x 31cm.
Size including fabric border - 30cm x 39cm.
Unusual and stylised image of one of Oxford's most iconic buildings.
