Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.

This beautiful linen angel would make a perfect addition to any home; whether hanging serenely from the Christmas tree, or as a permanent household guardian.
The angel motif is a print of one of my original designs; simple lines stitched in black thread onto a natural, unbleached calico. This has been carefully reproduced onto beautiful neutral coloured cotton linen by the team at Woven Monkey, and then hand-embellished.
‘Chrissy’ has a touch of gold sparkle around her eyes and halo, sequins of gold, silver and irridescent white in her hair and in her hand, a gold sequinned heart.
Her dress is trimmed with a thin band of white ribbon and from her little ribbon legs jingle feet of silver bells!
The reverse of the angel is a plain white wool felt. Front and reverse pieces have been hand-stitched together in a cream thread and lightly padded with synthetic toy stuffing.
‘Chrissy’ measures approx. 19.5cm from top to bottom (excluding ribbon hanging loop and legs) and approx. 14.5cm at her widest point.
