I'm selling off some of my collection of unusual beads to make some space in my workshop, so if you love beads, please take a look
I have been intrigued by these old beads since I first came across them in a market in Kano, Northern Nigeria, some years ago. I haven't been able to find out much about their history. Although I have read that they date back to the 1940s, I believe they may be much older. I've placed them with some modern handmade recycled glass beads from Ghana.

Full description
This one-off bracelet is made up of beads from Africa: some are rare old beads and some are beads of recycled glass from Ghana.
Condition: Although these old beads are generally in very good condition for their age, they have 'lived rough' for many years, so one or two may bear the scars of their journey in small chips. Likewise, the contemporary beads are made in small workshops with very basic equipment and, though not 'perfect' have a very special charm of their own.
Size: The bracelet is adjustable so can be worn by men or women but this one is designed for a slightly larger wrist, pulling in to a minimum of 7.5".
Presentation: Your bracelet will be sent in a presentation bag and a strong mailing box.
Gifts: I can send to another address and include a handwritten message if requested.
Postage: I can usually post within 24 hours.
Environment: All of my outer packaging is either recycled or reusable.
