Lammas (or Lughnassad) is the first of three Pagan harvest festivals. The festival celebrates the harvest of the grain and the abundance that summer brings. Lammas was also considered a sacred time for handfastings to take place.

The herbs and botanicals in this sacred blend have all been chosen because of their connection to the first harvest festival.

Rosehip - with Lammas comes the ripening of the first berries. The beauty of summer roses gives way to rosehips, rich in vitamin C and fruity in flavour.

Chamomile - associated with the sun God Lugh, these sunny flowers embody the richness of the first harvest.

Calendula - little sunny flowers, calendula brings joy and sunshine to this harvest blend.

Lemon verbena - A festival herb, lemon verbena helps us celebrate the gifts of the earth and brings joy and festivity to sacred unions (marriage etc).

Red clover - Traditional herb within hay meadows, the joyous crown of red clover sings of summer abundance
