Although I love intricate decoration and floral designs, I also really like abstract patterns. This dish has a simple black and white motif. It was made from rolling out clay (just like rolling out pastry) and cutting it to shape. In order to get the curve in the dish the clay was then placed in a large old family dish and left to dry, thus using it as a kind of mould.

Full description
Beautifully simple curved square dish with an overall black and white abstract design. The dish is handmade from high fired stoneware clay and has a clear transparent glaze. It measures 26.5 cms square. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. It is perfect for fruit, as a serving dish or simply as an elegant centre piece.
