My inspiration for this is not only my love for pheasants and game birds - or my admiration for Emma Bridgwater - but also the “glorious 12th” the first day of hunting season for grouse. I love how very British the sport is and wanted to create something that reflected my love for it.

This wonderful game bird coaster design comes in a set of four natural stone, perfect for those wanting to add a bit of rustic style to their homes.
Making a great gift idea, the design is Emma Bridgewaters “Game Birds” so instantly you get a Country kind of feel. The birds on this piece vary from types of pheasant, grouse and partridge so a great gift for those game hunters and shooters.
Each coaster is originally a natural stone square, these vary slightly from one another and so have holes in them - this just adds to the natural charm. The coasters measure at approx 10x10cm, making them the perfect size.
I have used my own special decoupage technique to add the design onto each square, they are then coated in a heavy duty varnish to protect from the heat of your lovely hot coffee and any spillages or condensation from your cool refreshing morning fruit juice. Each coaster has been finished with cork backing to protect your surfaces.
