applique & freehand embroidered “apocalypse survival kit” zombie sloth zip case - large
this generously sized pencil case measures approx. 26cm wide x 16cm (10 x 6 inches), suitable for storing face masks, anti bac gel and other essentials.
the sloth is cut from grey cotton linen, corpse-coloured pale blue irish linen, and pink & blue cottons.
each tiny component is hand-snipped, layered, then appliqued onto cotton calico.
the detail – including the text - is stitched on freestyle, using free motion embroidery.
this case is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine – no computerised gubbins - everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring it is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the case itself is made from heavy weight cotton calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink when washed.
it is stiffened with interfacing, lined with black linen and has a zip fastening.
the co-ordinating hanging loop is extra securely fastened. the tiny skulls heart charm is not.
my design is based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart.
