Goldschild thread is non-waxed 18/3 linen thread made in Austria. (It is also sold as Londonderry thread in the US).
It is dyed using traditional techniques which give beautiful, natural looking results which are light and water resistant.
This thread has been made with fibrecrafts such as crochet, tatting or lace making in mind. It is great as an embroidery thread and can be used everywhere where a strong thread is needed.
It can be used for leather sewing and bookbinding, but since it is twisted less firmly than leather or bookbinding thread usually would be, it should be used for fairly light items oder stab stitching.
Please note that I am OUT OF STOCK of the following colours:
golden brown, ash grey, beige
amazing colours that I fell in love with when I first saw them; ideal for embroidery
I love to use this thread for all my single signature stitching
