This is a beautiful retro style safety razor with a handle made from a piece of Laburnum wood.

Laburnum is a popular garden tree which has beautiful wood which darkens with age. This piece was sourced from a local garden!

The wooden part has been carefully shaped using handtools while the wood is spinning on a lathe. It is then sealed and polished to a high gloss before being fitted to the metal parts.

The wood has a deep golden lustre at present and will darken over a period of many years.

Your razor is shipped in a stylish box making it ideal as a gift for an anniversary, birthday, retirement or other special occasion. With a little care this is a gift which will give many years enjoyment.

The razor accepts a standard razor blade which is fitted by simply unscrewing the top section.

Unlike a disposable razor you are not throwing away any plastic when using one of these style of razors helping to reduce the amount of plastic waste.

Please note no blades are shipped with the razor for postal safety reasons but they are readily available at pharmacies and supermarkets.

I love the contrast of wood against metal and polishing the wood to a gloss finish really makes the wood stand out alongside the metal fittings !
The wood for this razor has been sourced locally and there are no plastic parts to dispose of making this a very environmentally aware gift.
