Honesty is instantly recognisable with their coin shaped seedpods and are often know as money plants or silver dollars. During the spring and summer months they are less obvious with their spiky leaves and purple or white flowers, which smell amazing by the way. But through out the season the seed pods develop and change from green, through purple and finally to that papery white we are all familiar with. This print was created to portray the life cycle of the honesty seedpods, and I achieved this by using a 2 plate process.

The first or based plate, represents the final stage of the seed pods and I have used a pale grey to give it that papery look and create distance. The second plate represents the green to purple stage of the seed pods life cycle, and I created this by rolling three inks together across the plate. As such, this creates a different variation in colour each time I print, so you will never get two prints the same within this edition.
