Over the years I have accumulated numerous fabrics from previous projects and love to be able to re-purpose them into something new. Very often the section of leftover fabric is too small to use for a large project but as these masks don't require too much material they are a perfect way to use up odds and ends. More importantly they are a greener alternative to the single use disposable face masks which sadly I see too often discarded alongside the footpath on my daily dog walk.
These face coverings are sustainable and can be washed and worn over and over again. Reusable, re-purposed, pretty and practical.

Full description
A pair of mix and match washable adult face coverings with elasticated fastenings. Simply choose two designs from the photographs of available fabrics and message me with your choice; I have labelled each pattern to make it easy to describe. Each pair will come with a co-ordinating simple storage pouch chosen by myself. The designs shown are all available and ready to post free of charge via 1st class mail.
The coverings have been made using leftover fabrics from my other projects and have a co-ordinating lining. I have tried to provide a varied selection but designs will change frequently so please do pop back and check what other patterns are available. All fabrics are new with the exception of the vintage black floral and Laura Ashley patterns. These have been made from a 1950s dress and curtains from when I was tiny and I love the fact that they are still being used several decades later - don't worry, they have been given a good wash!
The face coverings have a co-ordinating lining and a channel for elastic which is supplied. To make sure that the covering fits comfortably simply knot the elastic and then you can slide the elastic round so that the knot is in the casing. I will also supply a set of spare elastics per pair. If you require a filter then these can be inserted between the two layers of fabric but unfortunately I can't supply these.
The coverings can be washed at 40 degrees.
NB these coverings are not considered personal protective equipment.
