This is a handmade card using free motion embroidery techniques, appliqué and a tiny bit of needle felting.

The background is a drill fabric in black and provides good contrast to show off the flower design. The flowers and text are created using free motion embroidery technique using cotton fabric and cotton embroidery thread. The bee is made from carded wool and needle felted to the background material and provides a different texture to the rest of the card.

The design is mounted on to a 6in x 6in card which is blank inside for your own message. It comes with matching envelope and is packaged in a cello envelope to protect the card until it reaches you.

Over the last few years i have focused on planting and seeding native wildflowers in my garden, providing a value space for our pollinators. For the first time i have wonderful oxeye daisies that have grown from an area i seeded last year. Buff tailed bumble bees are a regular visitor so i decided to needle felt a little worker bee on the card.
