The design for this brooch came about while I was playing with polymer clay off-cuts and my quadrilateral cutters. Without planning it, I designed my own ‘stars’ by simply placing small diamonds on the corners of a square base.
The blend of colours is inspired by one of my favourite summer treats: strawberries & cream. Bright red for the strawberry, glitter red for the seeds, and pale pink for the cream. Jewellery good enough to eat!

A fresh blend of red-glitter, red and pale pink give this handcrafted polymer clay brooch a summery lightness. The brooch resembles a stylised star, with eight small diamonds resting on the edges of a square body.
You will always have the summer with you when you wear this brooch. Team it up with a bright outfit, pop on a straw hat and sandals, and head down to the river for a picnic of strawberries and cream! And for the full effect, why not add a pair of earrings from the same palette?

Each element of this brooch has been cut from my own handmade canes, which I slice and lay out to create random patterns. No two pieces are ever the same! Once the brooch has been constructed and fired, it is sanded and painted with a semi-gloss varnish.
The brooch will be wrapped in tissue paper and placed in an organza bag, ready to gift or keep for yourself!
