Psycho is an classic piece of film making, and the image of the Bates house and motel is an iconic image - I clearly remember being 9 years old and visiting Universal Studios in California and being fascinated by this creepy house standing on the hill, coincidentally the original film was being shown on US tv while we were out there and I was allowed to watch it! I was drawn in completely and my lifelong love of the macabre and unusual was born. I also watched The Birds and Vertigo on that same trip - not too shabby for a 9 year old that was obsessed by Disney!
