Handmade sterling silver ring, featuring a simplistic floral print texture, created using one of my favourite processes , roll printing, a process of passing the silver through a rolling mill with material to create ever lasting textured upon the silvers surface.

I've then off set a garnet cabochon in a contemporary run over style.

Due to ill health my shop will be closed for the unforeseeable future.

I absolutely adore the mystery of roll printing as you never quite know what to expect on your first go. The outcome will vary also, depending on material thickness, the set tension on the rolling mill, and the materials you've chosen to try!

It's quite exciting to see the results, so when I had access to a laser cutter I took to creating a floral print, which would then be laser cut from thin card, and used as a template. It turned out fabulous, and I eventually decided to pop an off set garnet cabochon on the band to contrast nicely alongside the oxidised silver surface of the band.

I love textured silver, and must search out some new materials soon.
