I love watching the common lizards in our local woodlands and sometimes, if I am lucky, I get to see Sand Lizards on the nearby heathland. Their habitat is fragile though, as demonstrated by a recent fire in Wareham Dorset, which was still burning in places 7 days later and was caused pure carelessness. That was my inspiration to create a linocut of one of these beautiful reptiles.

Full description
5 plate linocut colour print of a male Sand Lizard printed on Fabriano Technico paper with Calligo and Lawrence inks. A limited edition of 30.
The image is approx 90 x 90 cm and the paper is 165 x 165cm.
Inspired by a local fire that destroyed a local habitat, we are lucky that some were saved and we have other hearhland areas nearby. 2 prints were sold with the funds going to the rescue group.
Unmounted but a mounted version shown.
