All my designs are Inspired by Scandinavian print and mid century patterns and colour but with a modern interpretation. This shape for the flower was inspired by the large heads on flowers such as peonies and chrysanthemums. I wanted to capture the delicate balance between the oversized glorious blooms and the delicate stems. The rainbow colours were a special request from a close friend who works in the NHS and I think they work perfectly with this design.
All my designs are created in my little studio by the sea and handmade by me. They all started life as a little sketch in my sketchbook, the designs are then cut in lino and printed by me so the patterns have a beautiful, simple block print style that is retained in the final card design.
