I've always been a Stephen King fan and The Shining is one of my favourite novels. When I watched the film adaptation with Jack Nicholson, he was exactly my image of the character of Jack Torrance from reading the book.
The background of this piece is based on the carpet of the hotel and a classic scene from the film, where Jack sits typing pages and pages of his novel while the Overlook Hotel plays with his mind and we find out that he has been writing the same words over and over again.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
