A handcrafted stave board made from carefully selected, locally sourced pieces of English Hardwood. Each board is a combination of different thicknesses of contrasting woods which give each its own unique pattern and character. This board is a mix of brown oak, oak, ash, elm and sycamore. The board can be used for both food preparation and presentation. Additionally, they can be engraved with a personal message to make a truly unique gift. The board has rubber feet, one to each corner, so that it should sit flat even on less then level surfaces. The edges are bevelled, and it is finished with our own blend of food safe refined beeswax and medicinal grade mineral oil. Dimensions are Length 55cm x width 33cm x thickness 3.6cm.

Part of our ethos is to promote sustainability, and this leads us to abhor wasting our resources. Offcuts are not destined for the woodburner, but instead are the building blocks for these stunning boards. Plain woods tend to be overlooked, despite their hard-wearing functionality. This is particularly the case with sycamore. Some of the wood in this board is timber which individually might not find a place in the home. However, when combined with some of our home grown more 'exotic' woods, such as brown oak, really show their true, colours, character and durable properties.
