Full description
These rainbow bridges look amazing with the sunlight coming through them and casting rainbow shadow reflections. They can have a tea light on top or a small candle.
Each piece is handmade in my studio in Thornton-Cleveleys.
Each rainbow curve or wave is cut by hand. A single piece of clear glass is cut first and then stacked with single individually hand cut strips of coloured glass. They are then fired in the kiln for almost 24 hours. After this first firing the piece is then placed on a mould and fired and to take the shape of the curve or wave. This takes another 24 hrs.
My husband then makes an individual wooden stand which can be left in a natural wax finish or dark stained.
The glass in these pieces is 20 cm long 10 cm wide and the whole piece including the stand is approx 14cm tall
