Full description

Leaping Hare originalart work made of English pewter. This is a repousse or raised work metal picture, I call it Hare over the moon.

The magical hare, symbolic of fertility and rebirth, is depicted joyfully leaping over the Moon and the Tree of life. His younger brothers can be seen below, one watching in awe looking forward to the day when he can leap that high and the baby leverett is fast asleep among the tree roots protected by a sibilant symbol of wisdom and healing.

This is an original art work, it is not stamped hammered or cast but has taken many hours of meticulous hand work.

This work is for sale unmounted because shipping bulky frames is costly and there is also the possibility of frames and mounts becoming damaged in the post. Although it is possible for UK customers to order this mounted and or framed for an extra charge, please contact me to enquire about this option.

To give you a better idea of size, looking at the photo of the work in a frame, the external measurement of the Oak frame is 20 inches by 24 inches , inside the frame is a mount and the the pewter panel that shows through the window in the mount measures 12 x 16 inches but will be a little larger say 14 x 18 inches to allow for the overlap of the mount.

The piece pictured above is now sold, however if you like it I can make a similar one for you............contact me to discuss!
