Pewter Mermaid original artwork. Collage,assemblage of a pewter Mermaid in a shimmering blue and turquoise sea.
The hand tooled Mermaid is in bas relief, each scale of her tail and swirling frond of her hair has been individually raised in the metal.
She is surrounded by delightful decorated and textured fish made from pewter and copper. The background of the picture is textured with modelling paste and then coloured with waves and washes of acrylics, pastels, mica powders and glitters in myriad shades of blue, cerulean, lapis azure and turquoise.
As the light changes so does this picture with nuances of shadow and the reaction of light on the interference colours that l have applied.....these colours alter subtly with the light.
The picture is on board and measures approx 20 x 16inches or 51 x41 centimetres ready to be framed. I can offer framing to UK customers at an extra cost but due to weight and glazing am unable to supply ready framed to international customers.
