Full description
This little hoop features a crescent moon surrounded by twinkling stars set against a clear night sky.
The embroidery was created using navy blue wool-mix felt for the sky, a crescent of silver metallic vinyl for the moon and tiny sequins for the larger stars. The piece is embellished with lots of tiny french knots in white mercerised cotton and is framed in a 3" (7.5cm) diameter wooden embroidery hoop which I have painted dark navy blue.
All elements of the embroidery have been hand-cut and hand-stitched by me to my own original design.
The back of the hoop is neatly finished with a circle of white felt, signed by me. A hanging loop of white waxed cotton cord is attached to the top screw mechanism. If you prefer, the work can be displayed on a small plate stand (not included).
The textile art will be sent to you in a premium black presentation box (approx dimensions 10.5 x 10.5 x 2.0cm) lined with navy blue felt to match the background of the piece.
The embroidery you receive will be the embroidery in the photographs.
Postage to UK addresses is via Royal Mail 1st Class Large Letter service and to all non-UK addresses is via Royal Mail International Standard Delivery service. I always obtain proof of postage.
