As part of my Puffin family this happy little needlefelted Puffins playing on some Wet Felted rocks with a natural linen background and leather strap.

Various wool has been used including Merino, Herdwick and Shetland to give the texture on the linen background surrounded by a bamboo hoop and yellow felt at the back of the hoop to give a slight yellow sunshine tinge if held against the light.

The lightweight hoop is 12.5cms (about 5 inches) across the inside, with a width of 1cm.

Puffins always make me smile, and so it is lovely to show their attitude presented in various ways using different Felting techniques without losing any of the character, but giving this particularly joyous jumping Puffin lots of texture.
