This listing is for a dainty pair of glass rainbow earrings on sterling silver ear hooks. Both the glass and sterling silver hooks have been made by myself. I call them my 'match stick' range as they are square and thin. They are comfortable in the ear as they are lightweight and still pack a colourful rainbow punch.
These have a 5.4cm drop from the top of the sterling silver hook to the bottom of the glass. The glass is 4.2cm long x 0.4cm wide.
These are a made to order listing.
These earrings are one of a kind as I combine blocks of colour glass together to create my own colour combinations and patterns through a series of three or more kiln firings and cold working techniques. I am mostly taking away glass to reveal different effects, textures, the shape and to ensure they are lightweight in the ear.
Kiln forming is a process where glass is layered and heated in a kiln to a temperature where the glass melts and the layers fuse together. All my glass is digitally annealed and cooled for strength and safety in my studio in Bristol. 2020© Robyn Coetzee Glass
