I came across these lovely vintage looking brass cabochon brooch backs whilst rummaging through an old box. Having spent a fair while the previous day watching the bees in the garden, I wanted to have a go at creating a little bee embroidery to fit them.
These brooches are rather fiddly but immensely satisfying to make. All the embroidery is done using a tiny needle and normal sewing thread rather than embroidery floss.

These teeny-tiny little upcycled fabric brooches make a lovely little gift for a friend or loved one.
Tiny pieces of fabric are appliqued onto a backing of upcylced jeans or linen fabric, then hand embroidered and finished with a sweet little chain-stitched frame.
There are 5 styles to choose from: Denzil the Fox, Boris the Frog, Mavis the Chicken, Flo the Bee and SweetieHeart. Please click the 'CHOOSE OPTION' button at the top right of the page to make your selection.
They are glued onto a brass cabochon brooch back and are less than 2 inches 4.5 cm in length, with the embroidery measuring 2.2cm (less than 1 inch).
They will be sent out with a backing card by First Class post.
