Woodfired on the Sheffield Manor Green Estate, this fearless creature has a lovely warm finish. There’s another level of uncertainty to wood firing, where the flames touch the pot, where ash lands and the temperature it reaches.

Lovely to hold, fitting into your palm. Nice to display alone or with other wrens.

Made in stoneware clay, pinched into shape and modelled by hand, they are made in small numbers, each one has its own individual personality and quirks.

Only a tiny thing, around 6 cm high and 6.5 cm in length.

Ideal gift for anyone who loves birds and nature.

I try to recycle and reuse packaging but not at the expense of safe travel.

I am only posting to UK at the moment, apologies and I hope to change this soon.

I love birds, especially ones I see daily. The Wren isn't a daily visitor to my garden but occasionally I catch something darting about in that very wren like way and know it’s a good bird spot.

With this glaze I was not trying to replicate the feathers and colouring of a wren but looking for a feeling and finish that is special to wood firing and has a quality of this lovely bird.
