I'm back!! After quite a break, for many reasons, I'm giving myself a little time in the making shed. If you're new 'Welcome', always so thankful for any interest in my creations :) x
I love old tools and I love old wood. I saw this Wooden Plane in a Charity shop and purchased it not knowing what I would do with it but as it had a flat top it was perfect for wooden houses. The details came together over time. I have named it Pickford's Cove after the person who owned the tool.

Full description
I created this little scene from a vintage Wood Plane that had seen better days. I removed the blade but used the blade holder to create the rolling waves.
The initials J.W.Pickford are carved in 2 places on the Plane and I believe these may have belonged to a Southsea resident.
There are 4 little cottages (4-5cm high) and a Pub called The Kings Head. Little wooden steps down to the beach and a bridge to cross to get to the sand. A little boat sits on the shoreline with handcarved oars. I have added 3 polymer clay seagulls. As clay they are possible to break but this is an ornamental piece not a toy.
Thank you for viewing. I believe this would make a lovely keepsake for a carpenter or anyone loving a Harbour/Beach scene.
