I love making Raku items. The process is so dynamic and unpredictable and when the magic happens the results can be superb.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
Here is a beautiful Raku dish. It is a simple flared shape with a stunning, rustic, copper brown sheen and black glaze with a scribed curl inside. Unglazed areas are black.
It is made from a coarse clay, and although it is food safe, it is unlikely to hold liquids.
It is approximately 5" diameter and 2" high.
It is hand made and thrown on a wheel, bisque fired to 700oC then glazed and raku fired.
Raku originated as a Japanese pottery technique and involves quickly heating the pots to red heat and then cooling it quickly in different ways, giving crazing and unpredictable results with the glaze colour.
